How to market boring products?

Here is another example of how to market a boring product through using a cool product (iPad). Emma.

This week, I watched a seminar by Wharton Professor Jonah Berger, who wrote the book Contagious:Why Things Catch On?. He had  the following example of marketing a blender, Will it Blend? , which also promotes a dull product, via using a cool product (iPhone).
