Infinite Obsession

I went to see an art exhibition “Infinite Obsession” by Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama at my favorite Rio museum, Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil.

Unfortunately, the masses decided to absorb some art on this lovely Saturday afternoon which prevented me from seeing half of the exhibition (sorry Yayoi, but you aren’t that good to make me want to wait for hours in line). The little I got to see was still worth the visit.

Yayoi is one freaky lady with various obsessions (like phalic objects) who at some point in time hospitalized herself into the psychiatric ward, where she spent the rest of her life. Results below:

Give a little love

Today, a colleague of mine came by my desk in a bad mood ( she is going through a bad breakup).

“What’s wrong?” I asked her.
“I need some love in my life, where do I find that?” She said.
“Hmm… Join the club. Maybe get a cat?”
That didn’t seem to help.

I then looked at my desk and realized that I had a bag with 3 Victoria Secret body sprays I’ve brought from the USA as a gift to someone (Brazilian girls lovvvve this brand). I decided my friend could spare one in the name of mending a broken heart. I reached into the bag and lo and behold…The name on the bottle read: “Sheer Love”!!

This is what I call magic.

A bright smile lit her face thereafter.

These are the little things that make life worth living.

5 Days in Civilization

An MBA reunion brought me back to my former love, New York City. There is nothing like great friends, great food, intellectual conversations and a big city’s energy to make this girl happy.
