Local Desserts – Sorvete Assado

One of the more fun desserts I’ve tried so far in Brazil – Sorvete Assado, or Baked Ice Cream.
Ice cream, a layer of fresh fruit salad and a layer of marshmallow. All baked in the oven in a small pot.

Delicious.

Ecotourism in Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil

I trotted to yet another state, Mato Grosso do Sul, located in Midwest of Brazil, to do some ecotourism (which is just a fancy name for running around in the forest while fighting off hoards of mosquitoes).

By the way, Brazilian Midewest is quite similar to the American one: lots of farms and really nice people!

Achievements so far: floating in one of the clearest rivers in the world (Rio Sucuri), rappelling down a 90 meter high drop over a canyon (Boca da Onça), chilling at a river beach (Praia Figueira). More to come..
